Johann P. Boshoff (7 February 1956) is an awarded South African writer, who writes mostly in Afrikaans, his home language.
After a career as teacher and later professional translator, Boshoff (1956) now freelances as translator, language editor, jounalist and multi-genre writer. He resides in the city of Bloemfontein in the Free State province of South Africa.
His numerous publications can be divided into literature and Christian devotionals.
Having received minor awards for poetry and prose fiction in 1975, 1996, 1999 and 2004, Boshoff, in 2008, was the recipient of the prestigious Writer of the Decade: Afrikaans award, for nation-building through multilingualism, from the Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB).
