Miguel Angel Asturias

Miguel Angel Asturias was a Nobel Prize winning author from Guatemala. According to Nobel Prize website he won th award for  "for his vivid literary achievement, deep-rooted in the national traits and traditions of Indian peoples of Latin America".

In his most famous work "El Señor Presidente" he wrote about life under dictatorial government. He spent much of his later life in exile as a result.
